A quick overview of Lyn’s life includes…
- Grew up in a small Illinois farming community, surrounded by family, friends and faith
- Graduated from Abingdon HS (Illinois)
- Graduated from Cottage Hospital School of Nursing with an RN degree
- Attended the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Nursing
- After moving to Bowling Green her primary “career role” was as homemaker, helping her kids and husband in so many ways
- She was involved in the church as an Elder and in Presbyterian Woman (including at the regional and national levels)
- Lyn became an organizer & volunteer extraordinaire
- co-founding the Wheeled Meals organization
- co-establishing the hospice program in Wood County
- regular Wheeled Meals driver
- packing and delivering cartloads of Kroger bakery items into her car and driving them to the Food Pantry
- She was an attentive parent and grandparent (and daughter, sister, aunt, …) caring for her family in many ways

Among some lesser-known facts, she…
- sang with her two sisters in a trio
- was still bicycling, enjoying the exercise and economizing natural resources even into her 80s
- was honored as Bowling Green’s “Female Citizen of the Year” in 1986
